As a Senior Estimating Coordinator, you will play a vital role in our clients organisation by conducting senior sales and production estimating tasks, procurement activities, and project coordination. You will provide senior support to fellow estimators, manage document control for assigned projects, and foster effective communication among stakeholders. This position will require you to work on projects in both Victoria and Queensland.
Senior Estimating:
- Prepare comprehensive sales estimates and formal build quotations for selected projects, including a detailed breakdown of inclusions, exclusions, and allowances, in preparation for Build Contract creation.
- Complete sales and production estimates, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and Purchase Orders.
- Collaborate with Senior Management to declare project margins.
- Price and manage contract variations in conjunction with the Management Team.
- Generate project reports, conduct budget analysis, and maintain cost control for your assigned projects.
Procurement:
- Support the Senior Management Team in procurement activities by assisting in supplier and subcontractor selection and evaluation.
- Participate in negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
Project Co-ordination:
- Enforce strict adherence to contract terms, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Review and approve tax invoices for selected projects.
- Maintain all project documentation for your assigned projects consistently.
- Keep the company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system updated and current for your selected projects.
- Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders, including liaising with design consultants and Town Planning partners.
Databuild:
- Ensure the continuous maintenance of the Databuild System, including troubleshooting as needed.
General:
- Provide support to Senior Management and other team members as required.
- Comply with company WH&S policies at all times.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- A tertiary degree in Construction Management, or equivalent.
- Profound knowledge of building and contract laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- A solid understanding of building plans and specifications.
- Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication.
- A willingness to learn and grow professionally.
- Proficiency in Onsite Companion and Databuild software, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organisational skills and a keen attention to detail.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
