The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.
The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
The Senior Finance and Budget Manager is responsible for leading the Finance and Budget team within the Finance and Business Services Branch, with key responsibilities of overseeing and driving the delivery of accounting and financial management responsibilities within and across the Court. The Senior Finance and Budget Manager will be responsible for contributing to strategic and business planning activities, budget development and reconciliation, providing timely advice to a range of stake holders and supporting the leadership group, program managers, project managers and registrars across the state.
The Senior Finance and Budget Manager has portfolio responsibilities to deliver high quality accounting and financial management services including preparation of annual budgets, reports, projections, forecasts and provides timely information and advice to support efficient and effective operations ensuring alignment with the Court's strategic direction and annual business plans.
