About the Role
They are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join their team in Parramatta + working remotely from home. This is an estimated 6-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.
Working within the Performance Division of the Water Group, you will be required to provide business and financial advisory services including budgeting, forecasting, labour analytics, capital reporting, planning, divisional management reporting, business case development and development of risk and savings plans to achieve organisational objectives
Responsibilities
Develop and prepare monthly financial management, financial statements and dashboard reports
Provide expertise and advice
Develop budgets and monthly budget forecasts to assigned functional areas to meet financial and business performance
Monitor, analyse and evaluation of financial performance, accounting, cash management, savings targets for current and future business performance
Make evidence-based recommendations to support decision making outcomes
Coordinate all funding arrangements and proposals
Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships facilitating engagement, participation, collaboration and contribution of ideas
Assist in the development and preparation of business cases
Undertake research to resolve complex enquiries and emerging issues
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Prepare complex and detailed briefing notes and reports
Records and database management, ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality
Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements
About You
Demonstrated Senior Finance Business Partner experience
Expertise in management reporting, budgeting and finance business partnering
Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
Solid analytical, influencing, negotiation and problem solving skills
Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite
Requirements
CA or CPA Qualified
Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting, Finance or an equivalent field
Thorough knowledge and understanding of Government Sector Finance Act 2018, Treasurers Directions and Australian Accounting Standards with a broad understanding of relevant Government Policies
Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
