Job Description
As the Senior Financial Accountant your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in compiling the year end financial report (ASX reporting)
- Assist with the preparation of audit files during the year-end audit.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including inter-company reconciliations ensuring that all reconciling items are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
- Prepare and post accounting journals
- Perform monthly P&L analysis to identify variances and ensure accurate reporting
- Project work relating to system implementations and process improvements. This will include coordinating with 3rd party implementation specialists, ensuring the timely delivery of the projects and testing to ensure the systems are working as desired.
This role would strongly suit candidates arriving from outside of ANZ on working visas and is an excellent step into the Australian job market:
- Full professional accounting qualification (CA ANZ, ACCA, CPA etc)
- 2+ years working at a big 4/mid tier firm in external audit/assurance
- Looking for a first move into a commercial role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to partner with senior stakeholders
