THE ROLE

As a member of the Group Financial Reporting team, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of the Origin Group statutory reporting process, including involvement in technical accounting matters, transactions, and continuous improvement activities.

The responsibilities of the statutory reporting process include the preparation of half year and full year financial reports, Audit Committee reporting and subsidiary financial reporting.

This is a unique opportunity to join a great team.  Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager you’ll be responsible for:

-Preparation and review of annual subsidiary financial statements.
-Assisting in the assessment of new accounting standards and their impact on Origin.
-Assisting with technical accounting queries on an adhoc basis including writing of technical accounting papers.
-Assisting other group finance teams with relevant projects/activities as required.
-Driving process implementation and improvements to deliver increased efficiency and enhanced financial control.
-Supervision and coaching of junior members of team and influencing other stakeholders in other teams

IS THIS YOU?

You’ll need to have high
Attention to detail
and be C
A or CPA Qualified with
minimum
of 5 - 6 years financial accounting and statutory reporting experience in a medium to large listed entity or experience in a Big 4 or large accounting practice
.

You can show, through the work you’ve done that you have:

-Experience with multi entity, multi currency consolidations
-Attention to detail and ability to critically analyse information and synthesise to deliver insight and identify issues and anomalies
-Self-directed, motivated and focused
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to work as part of a team
-Experience in presenting papers and statutory financial statements to senior managers
