Are you a dedicated professional with a passion for supporting the effective implementation of government preschool funding arrangements? Join our team as a Senior Funding Officer and play a crucial role in shaping the success of South Australia's early childhood education programs.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supports the implementation of the Australian Government preschool funding arrangements and associated planning, monitoring, and evaluation of South Australia's performance against key performance indicators, targets and deliverables as defined by the agreement.
- Supports the implementation and monitoring of budgets, non-government funding price, governance reporting, accountability, and risk management frameworks to ensure that the agreement is implemented successfully.
- Supports the production and analysis of data to support national and state-level reporting.
- Supports data collection and verification to support External Relations' management of non-government preschool state grant funding.
- Ensures systems are maintained and enhanced as required to meet the data and information needs for preschool, occasional care, rural care and playcentres.
- Delivers a range of expert and high-level advice, support, and guidance for stakeholders across the department, which supports the planning and delivery of effective and innovative changes to directorate processes and functions, including managing reviews and evaluations of current processes and functions to identify and analyse relevant risks, gaps, and issues, and recommend improvements that meet directorate and departmental strategic objectives.
- Manages, coordinate, maintain and update funding and service agreements, deeds of variation, memorandums of understanding and other contractual agreements required to deliver funded preschool programs in non-government early childhood settings and other initiatives.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience.

Special Conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
