About the Company
TEN Recruitment are excited to be recruiting a Senior Geologist to join an organically growing, ASX listed mining company with many opportunities for growth in their WA operations. The business offers high grade resources and modern infrastructure to facilitate future expansion.
About the Role
The Successful applicant will be working directly under the Principal Geotechnical Engineer, conducting and coordinating geological structural outputs of mining i.e., collecting/interpreting structural mining data. This permanent position offers an 8/6 roster on a FIFO basis from Perth.
Job Tasks/Responsibilities
Processing photogrammetry and 3D laser light mapping to obtain digital structural data and convergence measurements
Structural underground traverse mapping
Inform local and large scale structural models using rock core photos and interpreting structural/lithographical contact conditions
Core discing and geological core logging adhering to specified standards
Mapping and recording structural observations in a database
Mentoring, training and coaching of Geotechnical Engineers, Mine Geologists and Geological Technicians
A Successful Candidate Will Have
Understanding of geotechnical ground support methods and plans
Proficiency in structural interpretation and modelling
Strong understanding of geological data collection methodology and practices
Relevant tertiary Geological Science Degree
7+ years of experience in mine site based structural/engineering geology
