Due to continued growth and strong pipeline, there is an opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geotechnics team in Adelaide Australia.

The role offers a collaborative working environment with industry leading professionals across our global community. You will work closely with our Principal Consultant onsite in Adelaide, as well as the wider national/international Geotechnics Team. This renowned team comprises specialist geologists, engineering geologists, geotechnical engineers, civil engineers, tailings specialists, hydrogeologists and hydrologists. We have a portfolio of global projects working across boarders alongside 200+ engineers over 6 continents, bringing the highest level of experience and technical capabilities to our clients.

Job tasks and responsibilities

• Work on a wide range of projects across multiple industries and gain access/exposure to this vast exciting country, from the tropic to the outback.
• Manage and take control of projects from inception to completion.
• Provide technical oversite of site investigation teams.
• Undertake geotechnical analyses.
• Undertake engineering judgement, interpretation and analysis of data to develop and implement best practice to provide practical and commercial solutions.
• Work with a wide variety of experienced professionals in a multi-disciplinary international consulting services company.

Skills and experience
Outside wanting to join a team on the ground floor and help repeat our success in other states, the right candidate should:

• Exposure to projects across multiple sectors, including but not limited to; highways and built environment and mining and resources.
• Ideally you will have 5 to 10 years’ hands on experience with tertiary qualifications in engineering or geology and have worked within a consultancy environment before.
• Have excellent report writing and communication and demonstrated experience delivering on time and on budget.
• Must have an excellent attitude and be capable of working within a dynamic environment
• Proven project management skills.
• Well-developed creative and problem solving skills and excellent technical ability
• Happy to work in a developing local team, drawing support from our well established Geotechnical teams in other states.
