With several Flavorite sites located across Victoria, this role is based at our Katunga location which currently employs up to 100 employees.

About the opportunity:
An exciting newly created position exists for a Senior Grower / Farm Manager Supervisor to oversee the day- operational requirements of the Flavorite Katunga, VIC Farm.

Further, as the Senior Grower / Farm Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the development and implementation of the growing strategy that ensures both maximum production levels and high-quality crops.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role will suit a candidate who has acquired extensive growing experience in Glasshouse Hydroponics.

In addition to the requisite growing experience, the role will complement a candidate who possesses well-developed people, performance, schedule, and budgeting abilities, gained from experience gained in an operational leadership role.

Key Accountabilities:
Develop and manage the implementation of growing strategy to suit each crop and greenhouse
Inspect crops to determine strategies relating to irrigation, growing environment, crop care, picking and IPM
Monitor weekly, daily workload / progress of direct reports to ensure workloads are being met within anticipated KPI’s and to quality standards
Develop production budget based on production plan
Management and implementation of direct reports annual performance appraisals including performance action plans and disciplinary procedures
Develop and maintain comprehensive ‘standard operating procedures’ for the farm
Develop and manage labour budget
Monitor weekly, daily workload / progress of direct reports to ensure workloads are being met within anticipated KPI’s and to quality standards
Implement crop trials of new varieties, cultural methods, and new equipment

The successful candidate will have the following:
