With a bright future ahead we are seeking team members for our exciting Balranald operation where we will be deploying remotely operated underground mining (UGM) technology which has been a likened to keyhole surgery for the extraction of critical minerals.
About The Location
Iluka’s Balranald operation is located approximately two hours by road from Mildura in regional NSW.
You can choose to live in the local region, drive-in drive-out from towns outside a 100km radius or fly-in, fly-out from your closest major capital city.
FIFO options are not available from Western Australia and Northern Territory at this time however, if you live within these locations and are interested feel free to contact Iluka’s recruitment team.
About The Role
Be a part of the operation right from the start as we build our People systems, infrastructure and camp facilities.
The successful candidate will be required to do a 8/6 roster – 12 hour shifts.
Your onboarding will require you to spend some time in our Perth office and at one of our existing operations, to get you familiar with Iluka’s way of working and systems.
Your accountabilities will include:
Maintaining knowledge and support delivery of Iluka’s People Standards, Policies, Procedures and relevant Enterprise Agreements to ensure compliance and consistent application.
Supporting all People aspects of Operational Readiness.
Providing technical advice and support to Operations on employee and industrial relations matters.
Analysing and monitoring workforce trends to identify leading trends for the operational workgroup and support the delivery of proactive strategies in response.
Supporting operational leaders to progress day to day activities and culture initiatives.
Collaborating with organisational teams to support delivery of organisational and operational objectives.
Providing advice, coaching and support to line managers on performance management / counselling and disciplinary action.
About You
Experienced Human Resources Generalist, ideally with Employee and Industrial Relations experience.
Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in a similar role within the mining industry preferred.
High level verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Sound judgement and objective problem solving skills.
Demonstrated analytical and reporting solutions capability.
Influencing, professional presentation and networking skills.
Valid C class driver’s license.
