Senior HR Consultant

Due to continuous growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Consultant to join our HR Connect Pacific team on a 12-month fixed term contract.

The Senior HR Consultant will be responsible for providing operational and advisory support to our people leaders on people, policy, process and HR Technology. You will also be responsible for delivering key projects in line with the Aon People Organisational Strategy. As a senior you will provide best practice ER expertise to the business and mentorship, escalation point, to the wider HR Connect Pacific team.

What the day will look like

Partner with Centers of Excellence (COE) and HR People Partners to deliver the annual HR cycles, initiatives, and strategic projects.
Provide coaching and advisory support to people leaders on all operational HR matters, including performance management, employment relations, HR policy and process interpretation, workforce/resource planning and technology.
Contribute to design and implementation of end-to-end change management initiatives ensuring best practice deliver and legislative compliance.
Provide technical ER coaching and support to HRC peers assisting to build capability. An escalation point for complex ER matters.
Execute on HR improvement projects, to deliver operational excellence across different geographical locations in the pacific.
Contribute to the development and management of People Organisational policies, processes, ensuring adherence and understanding across the business.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

This position will suit a someone with the following experience:

Exceptional client orientation and customer service skills
Significant experience in handling and resolving sensitive and complex Employment Relation matters; (investigations, mediations etc)
Experience in leading and implementing change management initiatives
Strong coaching and mentoring capability, providing technical ER support and guidance
Excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently communicate with stakeholders from all levels and across multiple locations within the pacific
Comprehensive understanding of Employment Legislation within (AU/NZ) market and some general working knowledge of legislation in (AU/NZ).
Ability to adhere to procedures and processes, whilst using your initiative and thinking creatively
Previous experience in a similar role within a corporate environment
