About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), the Senior HSE Advisor is a technically confident professional in both safety and environmental aspects. This role provides support across all portfolios within Tilt Renewables, with a strong focus on managing high risk areas in development, delivery and operations including contractor management.
Frequent travel will be required to maintain visibility across all sites, as well as documentation based tasks including risk assessments, review of contractor project documentation and prequalification processes. This role also includes monitoring the implementation of HSE documentation to support the safe and sustainable delivery of work, whilst ensuring continuous improvement opportunities are highlighted, developed, and embedded.
The Senior HSE Advisor is responsible for driving development and improvement within the organisation in developing strong and sustainable relationships with stakeholders to develop and embed a best practice HSE culture.
What you enjoy:
Frequent travel to sites in all stages of development, delivery and operations
Overseeing site-based compliance environmental activities
Monitoring contractor incidents, hazards and issues identified
Providing technical advice and support to the development and delivery teams on all relevant HSE topics
Championing and developing the HSE Contractor management framework, documentation, data analysis, stakeholder management, process, risk management and assurance processes.
Monitoring contractor HSE performance and trends and in collaboration with the HSE team, recommend courses of action to improve HSE performance on operational sites
Your Background:
Outstanding communication skills that enhance relationships with key stakeholders internally and with our external contractors as well as local, regional, state and national bodies
You have a background in improving HSE data and reporting with a focus on strong report writing
Experience with end to end contractor management
Site based HSE experience
Demonstrated understanding of environmental, health and safety requirements on generation sites and infrastructure projects
Tertiary qualifications in area of environmental science/safety / engineering / natural resource management or a related field
As a member of the Tilt Renewables team this is an important role and as such we are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:
Site based HSE experience with the ability to drive results through contractor management
Strong stakeholder management and relationship skills.
Available to travel, both locally and interstate - a valid drivers licence is also required
