About this role
Are you a Senior Human Factors Consultant experienced in leading transformational projects? Based in Perth, this role will see you work with a broad range of clients across Rail, Aviation, Healthcare, Urban Design and City Planning. No two days will be the same as you apply your technical expertise, collaborate with other innovative industry leaders and develop new opportunities for Arup’s business.



What will I do?

  • Deliver Human Factors scope in line with general and sector specific Human Factors standards (e.g., ISO 9241, ISO 11064, EN 50126, AS7470).
  • Plan and scope Human Factors activities within complex multidisciplinary projects to ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
  • Liaise closely with project managers, consultants and clients to facilitate the delivery of wider project objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of Human Factors methodologies, tools and service offerings.
  • Support Human Factors-related business development across Australasia.


What will I bring?

  • Tertiary qualification in Human factors, Ergonomics, Organisational Psychology or other related disciplines
  • The ability to integrate Human Factors across the full systems engineering lifecycle, from concept definition, design, through to commissioning, operations, and decommissioning.
  • The ability to apply specialist Human Factors methods and techniques including task analysis, human error identification and quantification, link analysis and training needs analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Human Factors and safety demonstration processes.
  • Experience in user and stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and training.
  • Excellent reasoning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
