About the Opportunity
The People team is growing. FY25 will be a busy one as we design and embed new systems, service models and initiatives that deliver value to the business and our 2200 strong workforce.
Our people are the heartbeat of the business. They are no-nonsense, committed, and proud of the Lindsay brand. Our Managers business-wide are keen to receive a stronger level of HR/ER support to help build the capability and performance of their teams and are keen for new energy and know-how to join the team. Over the next six months our newly formed People team will get back to basics. We’ll sort through, polish up and simplify existing systems and processes to establish a firm foundation upon which we’ll build and embed our future People strategy. Reporting to the People Manager, you’ll play a strong part in this.
Working across a broad HR/ER portfolio supporting teams located in multiple Australian-wide locations, you will work in partnership with Operation Managers, delivering responsive and practical HR/ER advice and proactive solutions. You will be accountable for rolling out and embedding components of people related improvement projects across learning and development, performance management, communications and employee benefits (plus more). A tenacious self-starter, you enjoy taking ownership, are solutions-focused and outcome orientated. You can prioritise and organise your time, have excellent attention to detail and can frame and deliver effective communications. You have developed a reputation as a creative go-getter with great energy, and someone who can be relied upon to do what they say they will do.
With experience working in a business partner / advisory role in the blue-collar sector, you can navigate through industrial awards and agreements and are data focused. You have a nose for risk, sharp intuition and can juggle conflicting priorities and stakeholders’ expectations.
Our People team lead by example. We recognise our role as a value adding service function and we collectively take pride in delivering an exceptional level of service to all stakeholders.
You will work alongside like counterparts and be strongly supported by the People Manager (and the Head of Corporate Services). They are highly visible amongst operations and nurture a performance-based culture where all individuals act like owners.
This unique career development opportunity is based in our Corporate Office in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane QLD and some travel will be required in the role.
