Form of work With Head Office in Melbourne, iconic retail brands and multiple sites across Australia and New Zealand, Patties Foods is a significant, diversified and successful food manufacturer. A newly created HR opportunity has emerged within the South Australian site, located at Salisbury South. Employing around 130 staff and operating two shifts per day, the site produces more than 100,000 chilled ready meals every week.
Reporting directly to the Head of People (Melbourne) and as a trusted advisor to the site leadership team, this important senior and autonomous role is responsible for the overall management and development of all aspects of human resources and talent management for the Adelaide site. Key responsibilities of this hands-on role include:
supporting workforce planning, attraction, recruitment and retention strategies and managing recruitment processes and onboarding;
providing support and contemporary advice to site leaders across a range of HR practices including performance management, counselling, career development and organisational development initiatives;
reviewing, enhancing and localising HR systems, policies and processes;
providing comprehensive and professional IR/ER advice including award and contractual interpretation;
fostering a safe, positive workplace culture through the development of employee workplace safety, health and well-being initiatives, programs, and strategies, in conjunction with the WH&S Coordinator.
Applications are sought from appropriately qualified HR professionals with solid HR generalist experience and a particular focus on coaching, organisational development, learning and development, reward and recognition and innovative workplace practices. The successful candidate will display highly effective interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, a proactive attitude and a professional and collaborative approach to managing people and culture related matters. Excellent organisational skills and a team player mentality will also be important.
