As our Senior Human Resource Consultant, you will:
- Provide expert advice and support to the Management teams focussing on delivering effective business solutions while working autonomously and meeting tight deadlines.
- Provide timely advice and support to the Animal Science group across a range of human resource management responsibilities including:
o performance and behaviour management strategies
o recruitment and selection activities
o conflict resolution
o conditions of employment
o staff learning and development
- Proactively develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with work colleagues, the HR network, senior management, Corporate HR and clients.
- Educate, coach and enable line managers to achieve their ongoing responsibility for effective and proactive people management.
- Promote teamwork and a culture that values ongoing excellence in performance, continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high-quality HR services that support our clients within the Animal Science group.
- Contribute to the development of, and review currency of, Human Resource Management directives and policies
- Ensure HR data accurate and integrity
- Ensure governance requirements are met for all human resource activities.
Essential requirements
- Knowledge and expertise in the application of contemporary human resource management legislation, awards, agreements, policies and practices.
- Experience supporting managers with the positive performance principles.
- Personal attributes including strong communication and interpersonal skills, leadership skills, analytical skills, adaptable, flexible, motivated and shows initiative.
- A current 'C' class drivers licence
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or relevant transferable experience
