The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is looking to recruit a Senior Indigenous Environmental Health Officer who will be Responsible for improving the health status of Aboriginal people in the Goldfields region.
You will need an understanding of environmental health issues and develop an understanding of Aboriginal culture and the ability to communicate with Aboriginal communities. If you are an Environmental Health professional with a passion in 'Closing the Gap' when it comes to delivering Environmental Health Services to the wider community of the Goldfields region, then this job is for you.
To become a preferred candidate for this position, you must possess a Bachelor of Science, Environmental Health, or a Post Graduate Diploma in a similar discipline.
The key requirements for the role are:
High level communication and interpersonal skills including ability to liaise effectively and courteously.
Strong administrative and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines in a timely manner.
Ability to work both in a team environment and unsupervised, with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative.
A customer service focus and great customer service skills.
Computer literate and well versed with the Microsoft Office suite of application.
Tertiary qualification or current studies in business with relevant experience.
Current satisfactory National Police Clearance.
Current WA "C" Class driver's license.

A competitive salary from $82,019 to $88,869 plus superannuation (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
