Senior Instructor - Rheinmetall Defence Australia
Location: Melbourne, VIC

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
About the Team
The Rheinmetall Defence Australia (RDA) Training team is responsible for the design and delivery of high volume, complex training solutions to the Australian Defence Forces and other customers, across the range of RDA products.
About the Role
The Senior Instructor is an experienced training practitioner responsible for the conduct of the development and Implementation phases of the ADDIE instructional systems design framework.
The Senior Instructor is responsible for the development of lesson plans and supporting materials that will enable the training and qualification of customer operators to operate high complexity military equipment.
The Senior Instructor is responsible for the conduct of training resource development, and the delivery of training in accordance with the relevant training package.
The general and generic duties of the Instructor include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate in small teams in the delivery of the Training Sub-System for high complexity and technology military equipment projects as part of Rheinmetall's Support System solution;
  • Provide direct support to the Training Delivery Lead, when the Training Delivery Lead is acting in the capacity of Course Manager;
  • Developing functional relationships and maintaining close liaison with the RDA training team;
  • Conduct development activities to achieve status as a system SME;
  • Developing and implementing training in accordance with the approved training package;
  • Develop operational competence on the use of e-learning resources, Part-Task Trainers, Simulation and additional Training Equipment as required;
  • Develop and implement training in accordance with the approved training package;
  • Direct involvement in the delivery of internal and external courses and their evaluation;
  • Provide operator support to other Rheinmetall entities;
  • Attend RDA convened conferences, meetings and activities associated with the training sub-program; and
  • Fulfil other associated duties and responsibilities that may be required as determined with your manager from time to time.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40116);
  • Tickets and license including:
  • Heavy Combination Licence;
  • Dogging;
  • C6 Crane;
  • TAE40116; and
  • Dangerous goods.
  • In-depth knowledge of Adult Learning principles;
  • Relevant product knowledge or the ability to gain such knowledge;
  • Ability to travel interstate and internationally when required; and
  • Able to work in alternate locations, in Australia or overseas, for up to 4 weeks at a time.
