Job Description:
Saab, Inc.’s Surveillance U.S. Division in East Syracuse, NY is seeking a motivated Senior Integration and Test Engineer, specific to Model-Based Systems Engineering Verification and Validation. This role provides the opportunity to work on cutting edge digital radar technology and develop the model based validation and verification for the test program. You’ll work alongside MBSE experts, collaborate with external customers, and drive developmental change for the digital radar programs. The location of this role is flexible (remote, hybrid, on-site); however you must have availability to travel to support on-site meetings as needed.
You also have the opportunity to:
Demonstrate and utilize subject matter expertise in MBSE, including tools such as Cameo MagicDraw and/or languages such as SysM; including model validation
Model & Simulate (M&S) using software such as MATLAB/Simulink, Creo, CAD, etc.
Analyze system and subsystem level requirements and develop verification strategies for each phase of the test life cycle
Work with system & software engineers to ensure their algorithms are robust, understandable, and testable
Experience in digital engineering environment linking Cameo Simulations to external engineering models for modeling and simulation to conduct digital testing.
Experience in designing data interfaces linking SysML models with digital engineering applications to support requirement validation and verification.
Develop integration & test plans and procedures, verification requirement traceability, test reports – all within Cameo MagicDraw
Integrating HITL (hardware in the loop) and SITL (software in the loop) for LVC (live, virtual, constructive) testing
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related discipline is required
5+ years of experience as an Integration & Test, Verification/Validation Engineer
2+ years of experience using an Object Management Group (OMG) Systems Modeling Language (SysML) tool (MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler, Enterprise Architect, Rational Rhapsody, etc.) to author SysML models.
Experience in Object Oriented Programming and/or modeling and simulation
Experience with M&S software (MATLAB/Simulink, Creo, CAD, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate across disciplines and organizations.
Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and proven ability to work in a hybrid/remote setting
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
