What’s the role?

You will be a self-starter with a good contact book and a natural knack for producing engaging and snappy copy.

• Sourcing and creating compelling journalism that is relevant across multiple platforms
• Connect with existing and new readers across multiple platforms
• Work under deadline pressure in a fast paced newsroom
• Have proven skills in writing for social media audiences and for search
• Deliver unique content, drive conversation and socially-engage our readers
• You will be required to work the occasional weekend shift, and must be comfortable working independently.

Who are you?

• Previous reporting and newsroom experience
• Experience writing quality journalism to tight deadlines
• Able to produce engaging and snappy copy
• Solid digital experience
• Strong interview skills and news judgement
• You are a team player with excellent communication skills and knowledge of an extensive range of topics.
