Senior Laboratory Technician - Winemasters South Australia

• This role reports to the Senior Winemaker
• Collecting samples for analysis & tasting
• Co-ordinate day to day activities of the lab to ensure all work is completed and recorded.
• Carrying out daily, weekly, and routine calibration on laboratory equipment
• Conducting analysis & timely recording of data
• Trade Sample preparation
• Work in close communication with winemaking team.

Job Requirements

• Excellent applied laboratory skills with at least 2-3 years’ experience in a winery environment
• Preferable academic qualification in Lab Technician/Science degree
• Ability to meet timelines and prioritise
• Knowledge of all laboratory analytical methods
• Preferred knowledge of Vintrace software
• Familiarity with winemaking practices
• Confident and open verbal communicator
• Accurate reagent preparation, and ability to apply rigorous calibration techniques as required
• Knowledge of WHS rules specifically in relation to HACCP, PPE as well as quality systems
• Ability to lead and supervise people
• Ability to demonstrate a systematic approach to stock records
