The Senior Manager Business Governance & Control is accountable for facilitating the implementation of risk management activities within the business to ensure business risks are well managed. This includes developing monitoring mechanisms and strengthening controls across processes within the business. The job incumbent also covers business performance management. And is critical to making this happen and will -
Ensure nil operational losses in the process
Monitor operational losses by delivering best practices Operational risk management Quality Assurance programs and Business Continuity at ANZ and through monitoring of NLL’s and KRI in Operation and Country for ORCC Report
Streamline processes resulting in increased FTE efficiency and potential FTE savings (eg moving administrative tasks for country assurance staff to focus on value add activities)
Promote risk culture, create an environment of open communication and proactive risk management in the business
Focus on ensuring risk management is part of our operating rhythm eg. Audit, Key Risks, Key Controls, Reportable events, external events, emerging risks, outsourcing governance etc

Good knowledge of the principles of Operational Risk Management, Compliance and Auditing
Excellent written and oral communication, planning, problem solving and organizing skills
Strong knowledge of front/back-office processes and procedures and related controls
Good problem identification & resolution skills
