In line with our entrepreneurial and innovative culture, we adopt Enterprise Agile ways of working and embrace a growth and learning mindset.

We are looking for an experienced, committed and driven professional with strong customer experience focus, people management, problem solving and analytical skills to join our high performing leadership team within Personal Banking Direct Home Loans.

This role encompasses oversight of our Banking Consultant function where you will use your Operational Sales management experience to ensure inbound prospect enquiries are promptly responded to, and prospects are qualified and supported along the path to becoming Macquarie clients.

As a Senior Manager for Personal Banking Direct, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Managing our Banking Consultant function (currently two teams of 8-10 each) who are responsible for responding to inbound enquiries, qualifying sales opportunities and booking prospective clients with available Banking Specialists to support their home loan applications
  • Coaching and investing in the development of Team Leaders responsible for the Banking Consultant teams
  • Efficient workflow management and rostering of the Banking Consultant and Banking Specialist teams to ensure customers and prospects are served promptly (targeting same business day response times)
  • Ensuring the highest standards of calls and client management
  • Driving simplification of team processes and identifying opportunities for technology improvements and automation
  • Building a high-performance culture that supports learning, personal development and growth
  • Driving team motivation through recognition and celebration of team goals

We are keen to hear from you if you can demonstrate:

  • A strong leadership track record in operational sales, client service or credit-based roles
  • A high level of self-motivation and drive
  • Inclusive leadership that drives a culture of accountability
  • Experience in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and collaboratively engage with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to drive resolution of team issues
  • Ability to identify key moments-of-truth in customer experience, and intervene quickly where required to deal with customer escalations and complaints

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in residential home loans, preferably in a sales, operational or credit-based environment with people management and coaching experience. You will also have outstanding written and verbal skills to communicate in a clear and concise manner. You will be motivated to achieve team goals and help the team grow personally and professionally.

In return, we will enable you to develop your skills and take your career to new heights in a high growth business, as well as a diverse and inclusive environment where you will be comfortable in bringing your whole self to work every day.
