The Senior Manager, Events and Engagement is responsible for leading and managing high-level interactions with senior internal and external stakeholders to coordinate a variety of high-profile events and engagement activities aimed at effectively implementing the University's Strategic Plan.
In this position you will support the Director, External Engagement and Events, by overseeing and supervising the daily operations of External and Stakeholder Engagement team, managing the intricacies of protocol and providing specialist advice on strategic external engagement, special events and programs, leading the full event life-cycle from planning to delivery and evaluation on behalf of the President and Vice-Chancellor and other senior staff of the University.
You will lead a team of professionals to deliver on event plans as well as create and enhance guidelines and procedures related to University-wide external engagement processes, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
About you
With extensive experience in planning, coordinating and scheduling a range of high-level events, including resource allocation and budget management, you will be mindful of cultural sensitivities and have a strong understanding of protocols relating to government and VIP engagement.
Your superior communication and interpersonal skills will ensure you are able to effectively facilitate and strengthen relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, whilst your leadership strengths will enable you to support and develop your team to deliver on planned objectives.
