The Role
Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, the Senior Internal Audit Manager will lead risk and compliance-related audits at Airwallex. You will help to design the audit plan and testing approach, bringing impact to the company by contributing progressive ideas to stakeholders regarding multiple risk and compliance domains, including AML/CFT, Fraud, Card Scheme Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management.
What You'll be Doing
Develop audit plans and testing procedures for risk and compliance audits, typically working with our teams based in APAC & EMEA.
Execute audit fieldwork and provide insightful reports to senior management.
Develop and implement data analysis tools to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness.
Conducting up to 8 global Internal Audits per year, which includes working with regulators such as APRA to manage risk within the complexities of our business
Identify emerging risks and themes to be reported to senior management.
Complete continuous monitoring of the business to identify changes in the risk assessment and audit plan
Manage internal business stakeholders and ensure that recommendations are implemented.
Act as a subject matter expert to share knowledge, skills, and experience with team members and across Airwallex
Important to your success
You have Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with relevant accreditations, e.g.CA, CPA, CISA or Certified Internal Auditor.
You have solid working experience as a professional auditor and/or financial industry practitioner (Within a bank, card scheme, or electronic money institution)
Experience with one or more banking regulators (e.g., APRA, DNB, FCA), including solid knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Professional qualifications are a plus (e.g., CFA, CPA, CIA, CAMS, FRM)
Experience with data analysis would be beneficial (e.g., Python, Big Query, Looker)
Detail-oriented, proactive and self-motivated with a willingness to be hands-on.
You are a great communicator and enjoy presenting complex and sensitive issues to senior management to influence change.
