About the Role
To be "an innovator in contemporary education" is a fundamental part of the vision for the Flinders 2025 Agenda.
Flinders University now has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Learning and Teaching Innovation to join the Learning and Teaching Innovation (LTI) Portfolio to coordinate the delivery of student learning support programs and professional learning activities for academic staff. This is a rewarding opportunity to identify and respond to diverse student learning needs to enhance their ability to achieve success in their studies so that they can become creative, enterprising, career-ready graduates.
In this position, you will strategically plan, coordinate, and communicate delivery of programs and activities and develop partnerships across the university to ensure the programs and services provided by LTI meet student and staff needs.
As the Senior Manager, Learning and Teaching Innovation, you will also be accountable for:
- Leading the strategic delivery of the long-term LTI strategy, ensuring program and service continuous improvement in line with contemporary developments in student academic development.
- Managing the financial and physical resources required for program delivery related to Learning and Teaching innovation.
- Evaluating outcomes of LTI programs and processes (where appropriate) and identifying opportunities to apply new concepts and technologies
- Providing leadership, mentorship, supervision and performance management of direct reports, including fostering a team environment that embraces collaboration and a culture of student-centred service and continuous improvement across a range of services.

You will be passionate about Learning and Teaching and exercise a high degree of independent judgement and initiative daily. As a key leader within LTI, you will drive a positive culture, heightening morale across your team. Your passion for teaching and learning innovation will be evident through your student-centred approach to decision making.
The Senior Manager, Learning and Teaching Innovation will hit the ground running, with demonstrated experience in leadership, management, education, and innovation. You will also demonstrate:
- High-level strategic thinking, planning and analytical skills and active contribution to achieve outcomes and meet the University's strategic goals.
- High level to advanced planning and organisational skills, with extensive experience in project management including establishing priorities, allocating resources, coordinating communication plans, and meeting deadlines.
- A postgraduate qualification with relevant professional qualification in a related field or an equivalent combination of equivalent skills and experience.
