Let’s talk about this role
As the Senior Manager – Product in nib Travel, you will be responsible for the vision and execution of market-leading travel insurance products in Australia and foreign jurisdictions. You will lead a team of super-smart Product Managers and Product Analysts to drive growth, collaborate with stakeholders and deliver amazing products in today’s fast-changing travel environment. Other key responsibilities include:
Manage the end-to-end product portfolio from ideation to delivery, optimisation of product take up, revenue, loss ratio and profitability
Identify and harness opportunities to optimise product performance of nib Travel’s own brands and white label partners
Lead the team to develop creative product solutions using a deep understanding of our travellers, their needs and the external environment
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities for growth, as well as build education in the business around the product portfolio
Inspire, coach and develop team members to perform at their very best
Let’s talk about you
With previous experience in a leadership or management role in a fast-paced and constantly evolving business environment, other key skills and experience include:
Proven experience (7 years+) managing general insurance products in Australia including drafting PDSs, TMDs and other policy documentation
Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, with proven leadership experience
Future-focussed with strong business acumen and ability to find pragmatic solutions to problems and raise opportunities that add value
Advocate for best practices in product design, portfolio monitoring and competitor analysis
Proactively manage risk, meeting all policy, compliance and control requirements
Proven ability to research, design and implement products that deliver commercial and customer value
Strong analytical skills with an ability to problem solve
Proven experience preparing and presenting proposals to senior management
