AddressWork with business stakeholders in consultation with the broader Enterprise Risk Management Function to give expert risk and compliance advice to the Superannuation business.
How you will make an impact
- Assist the development of the Trustee’s Risk Management Strategy and Risk Appetite Statement
• Independent review and reporting to the Trustee on business strategic objectives and decisions in line with risk appetite
• Work with the Platforms, Investments and Business Services ERM teams to oversee key matters impacting the Trustee risk profile
• Guide First Line Risk, Compliance and Control teams with the role out and implementation of Frameworks and Policies into the Superannuation business and Trustee Office
• Provide challenge and independent oversight of the Risk and Compliance Frameworks, overseeing and monitoring the appropriateness of the RMF program delivery for the Superannuation business facilitating the risk declaration
• Monitor emerging risks and regulatory environment for risk to the Trustee’s business plan
• Independent review and challenge of business risk and control assessments including the review of action progress/management for the business
• Co-ordination and facilitation of risk scenario analysis, stress testing and deep dives.
• Support oversight of relevant material issues, incidents and breaches and review effectiveness of root cause and remediation.
What you will bring to the role
• Extensive experience in a risk and compliance, consultancy, or audit role
• Sound knowledge of the Australian financial services industry including relevant Prudential regulations, standards and legislation preferably relating to Superannuation
• Experience in developing or leading the implementation of risk frameworks or operational risk activities
• Strong leadership to create and sustain a culture of accountability, ownership and delivery both autonomously and leading others to achieve desired outcomes
• Ability to manage stakeholders, with the ability to effectively negotiate, influence and engage a broad range of decisions and audiences.
• Confident and clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with high attention to detail
• Sound organisational planning and implementation skills and demonstrated ability to apply them in a dynamic and changing business environment
