The role

The ANZ Marketing team supports the Australian and New Zealand business across consumer and merchant customers.

Reporting to the Director of Merchant Marketing, Strategy and Operations, you will be accountable for effectively running the operations of the Marketing function as well as leading strategic marketing projects. You’ll be working closely with the ANZ CMO and Marketing Leadership Team, as well as multiple business units such as Product, Technology, Commercial and Legal and Compliance, Customer Experience teams and agencies.

This is a greenfield role where you will both facilitate strategic initiatives of your own as well as establish and improve the planning and operational cadences that enable the marketing team to flourish.

You will be strategically minded, drawing insights to inform strategy, and enjoy operations and the hands-on aspects of marketing. You’ll also love working with people.

You’ll also:
Coordinate yearly, half-yearly and quarterly planning op rhythms in alignment with the other functions
Bring business strategies to life by engaging marketing to build an execution plan and establishing appropriate tracking artefacts
Develop clear business cases and ROMI for initiatives, manage incoming business requests for cross functional support or strategies
Manage the department performance reporting and operating rhythm
Oversee the management of the creative studio operations, resourcing, assurance and systems management
Partner with finance on budget management and requests from the team and work closely with Global Director Commercial Marketing
Oversee marketing controls, incident and issue management and reporting
Partner with other functions at Zip to prioritise marketing requirements within their roadmaps
Own strategic projects that arise from time to time or represent marketing on projects
Support CMO and MLT with other requirements from time to time

To help us level up, you’ll bring:
Tertiary qualification in business, computer science or related field or equivalent experience
At least 8 years marketing experience and preferred 2 years in a operational type role
Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder communication skills
Ability to bring diverse stakeholders together to solve a problem and synthesise diversity of opinion to drive the right outcome for the business
Analytical and data-driven approach to solving customer and business problems
Highly commercial and curious to understand the root cause and draw insights from data to inform strategy
Strategically minded with the ability to apply broad thinking to operations and reporting
Ability to manage and prioritise multiple marketing projects and operational requirements at one time
An understanding for B2B and B2B2C marketing with campaign management skills to drive growth using effective marketing strategies
An ability to prioritise and work in a fast paced, ambiguous environment with changing priorities. Requests may come from many areas of the business at short notice
Strong organisational and analytical skills with a commitment to driving the success of marketing programs, with a strong attention to detail, clarity and accuracy
