The Senior Markets Compliance Manager is critical to making this happen and will act as a trusted adviser to the Markets business and be responsible for minimising the risk of financial loss due to the imposition of penalties for non-compliance with regulatory requirements by ensuring that the Markets business identifies and manages compliance and regulatory risk. This role will form part of the Institutional Compliance team supporting the Markets business globally and across all asset classes.

This role is accountable for:
Accountable for developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders to drive a proactive, consistent and co-ordinated approach to risk management within the Markets business.
Provide independent insight and advice to management ensuring potential compliance and regulatory risks are appropriately considered (along with remediation and treatment strategies) and understood throughout strategic decision making.
Contribute to and foster the development of an operational risk and compliance culture across the Markets business and Institutional OR&C function.
Lead objective review and challenge of business risk and compliance activities, processes and contribute to and support solution design for compliance breaches and issues management.
Maintenance of strong relationships with Regulators at the functional level, completion of required regulatory returns owned by Compliance and assistance in the provision of information/input to regulators upon request

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

Compliance experience covering OTC derivatives and futures, licensing, and market conduct
Strong communication skills with ability to persuade, influence and build rapport with others, build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and impart specialist knowledge and build capability in others
Sound working knowledge of regulatory/legislative compliance and operating risk management principles and practices
Demonstrated ability to remain results focussed in a fast-changing environment
In-depth product knowledge, especially in relation to the Markets business and OTC products
Proven experience independently managing regulatory relationships
Specialist knowledge of OTC derivative reform including margining and risk mitigation, transaction reporting and clearing.
