Your opportunity to join our team
As an integral part of our Maintenance team at our flagship Further Processing Site in Edinburgh Parks, you will be providing operational support and performing planned preventative maintenance across the site.
This role will require someone who is flexible and willing to work Mon-Fri across a Day & or Afternoon shift roster, we currently have multiple positions available.
The site you would be working at is purpose-built for taking fresh chicken meat processing to produce a range of fully cooked products such as nuggets, burgers, schnitzels other enhanced goods. The site maintains world-class quality standards and ensures food safety but also ensures that the plant is a clean and safe place to work.
Fresh meat is delivered to the site daily and processed by frying, cooking, freezing, and packing before being dispatched to a number of key clients including Ingham products in the retail space.

Daily Tasks:
- Attending to repairs and breakdowns of production machinery in a timely manner
- Reduce reactive maintenance and proactively improve unplanned downtime
- Assisting in developing and introducing maintenance programs to support all internal stakeholders
- Ensure the execution of safety standards and quality assurance practices in all repairs and maintenance activities
- Identifying and escalating Animal Welfare, Food Safety & Quality issues, hazards, and risks
- Take personal responsibility to ensure livestock is treated humanely by self and others
You will bring to this role:
- Australian Mechanical Trades qualification
- Experience in installations, repairs, and maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment, preferably primary food processing industry
- Experience in fault finding on hydraulic, pneumatic, and complex mechanical systems
- Experience in the breakdown as well as preventive maintenance
- Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships, communicate and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders
- Proven skills in the areas of attention to detail, information processing, and problem-solving with the ability to multitask
- Ability to identify and introduce improvements in maintenance practices and plant performance
- Experience with Maximo as a CMMS would be an advantage
