Our client is seeking a highly organised and efficient Senior Medical Receptionist to join a busy specialist clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the healthcare team, ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic.
Responsibilities:
Answering phone calls and responding to emails in a professional and timely manner
Booking appointments for patients and managing the clinic's appointment schedule
Managing patient records and ensuring their accuracy and completeness
Preparing patient information and medical histories for the healthcare team
Handling billing and invoicing processes for patients
Coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Ordering and maintaining office supplies and equipment
Performing other administrative tasks as required
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Genie software
Knowledge of electronic billing software, Medicare and DVA and private health insurance funds.
Familiarity with medical terminology and patient records management
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
