The Technology and Digital Programs (TDP) group is home to the largest in-sourced ICT workforce in Australian federal government. TDP is the engine room for Services Australia, maintaining a vast range of technical and digital infrastructure to make sure that Australians can access government services, at any time and from anywhere.

The Infrastructure and Operations division maintains national critical infrastructure for Services Australia and across government. We deliver a robust, secure, and resilient ICT environment so Australian citizens can access government services 24x7.
The Application Infrastructure branch is responsible for the provisioning and support of underlying applications and databases that support the agency’s critical services. This includes performing ongoing maintenance to ensure vendor support and stability, providing incident investigation and performance analysis using advanced monitoring solutions.

• increasing and adopting automated solutions

About the role
As a Senior Midrange Database Administrator, you will exercise a considerable degree of independence and undertake a leadership role within the database environment. You’ll need a degree of independent judgement to make decisions under the general guidance of your director and national manager.
You’ll need extensive knowledge of database platforms such as
- Db2
- PostgreSQL
- Oracle
- MongoDB
You will excel in fast-paced working environments and possess the ability to balance several key priorities simultaneously, while ensuring the highest levels of quality in the work being delivered by the team.
