Senior Mine Surveyor

Introduction:
Regis Resources is an ASX publicly listed Perth based gold production and exploration company with a proven management team with a successful track record of developing mid-sized gold operations. It is a purely Australian gold miner with operations in Western Australia and New South Wales.

The mine site locations are in the WA Goldfields region with multiple mining operations (both open pit and underground) as well as a number of satellite pits. This is an opportunity to join a high performing team, contributing towards a future production profile of up to half a million oz. of gold annually.

Description:
The Opportunity

As an experienced and motivated Senior Mine Surveyor, you will be joining our team of highly skilled professionals responsible for championing mine surveying activities for the surface mining operations, whilst leading the mine survey team.

This is a site based role, working on an 8:6 FIFO roster (ex Perth).

About the Role

Ensuring the provision of surveying services to the operational, geotechnical and planning functions which supports the safe execution of the mine plan;
Manage the team’s daily work plan and scheduling including allocation of tasks / responsibilities such as, to process and report accurate spatial monthly bench volumes and movement;
Drill & blast production controls and measuring quantities of material blasted;

• Technical analysis and assessment as required;

Geotechnical monitoring program deliverables;

Support and assist in the continued development and optimisation of the monthly, quarterly & LoM scheduling;

Knowledge and understanding of regulatory permit and approvals; and
Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment and identify areas of improvement.

Skills and Experiences:
About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Survey, or similar;
• Demonstrate at least 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar role;

Current WA Authorised Mine Surveyor Grade 2 (minimum);
Previous experience with HPGPS machine control and advanced knowledge of Trimble survey equipment;
Be a proficient user of mining industry software (Deswik, SURPAC), including Agisoft, Quikslope, Cyclone;

• Excellent communication skills, and a strong desire to provide high quality work whilst driving a positive safety culture within the team; and
• WA C class drivers licence (manual).
