We are continuing to build on our reputation and with this comes winning new projects. Due to these project successes, we require an experienced Senior Mine Surveyor. The roster for the role is 6 weeks on and 3 weeks off or 8 weeks on and 4 weeks off.
About the Role
The Senior Surveyor – Big Gossan is responsible for all survey activities at the Big Gossan Mine at Freeport, Indonesia. The role is to coordinate UG mine survey activities, mentor national surveyors and maintain site survey standards in accordance to our client PT Freeport.
The position reports to the Big Gossan Project Manager and leads a team of 7 national surveyors and offsiders.
Key Responsibilities
Mentor and upskill national survey employees with –
As built pick-ups
Development & production mark-ups
Creation of mine instructions
Emergency plans
CMS and CALS scanning
Manage Big Gossan survey activities in line with PT Freeport standards and reporting practices
Review and update survey practices and procedures
Maintain accurate, up to date mine survey records
Manage the preparation of month end reporting, calculations and associated reconciliations as required
Skills & Experience Required
Formal tertiary qualifications (Degree/Diploma) in Surveying
Experience in Underground Mines (5+ yrs)
Intermediate level MS Word and Excel experience;
Experience with Deswik, Move3, Leica Captivate software
Experience with Leica Total Stations (TS15/16), Optech CMS
Experience with Drones for scanning will be highly regarded
Experience managing Deswik MDM databases will be highly regarded
