Senior Operational Communications Officer
The NSW RFS is seeking senior call centre operators to assist with dispatch and movement of emergency fire service resources.

The role oversees and mentors a team of Operational Communications Officers on shift. The team is responsible for receiving, interpreting and responding to emergency and routine calls for assistance, such as fire related incidents, motor vehicle accidents and oil spills. The team operate the Bush Fire Information Line and support program requests.
This requires dissemination of relevant information, dispatching appropriate resources and monitoring responses to incidents through effective telephone and radio communication and data entry.
Salary:
- Full-time ongoing salary range of $75,992 - $83,211 per annum, plus 10.5% superannuation. In addition to salary, the role also attracts a shift penalty allowance of 26.14%.
Ongoing Operators: Ongoing operators work 35 hours per week on a varied and rotating roster. A standard shift pattern is 12 hours and may start from:
- Day shift 6am to 6pm
- Night shift 6pm to 6am
- Swing shift – As required
Secure parking is available on site for operators, however our headquarters is a short walk to train and bus services. Privately owned café and childcare facility operate on the ground floor of the building located at 4 Murray Rose Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park.
