An opportunity for an experienced Paediatric OT to join a family-owned business and establish a new division
Your new company
Your new company is a family-owned and operated allied health organisation looking to expand their service offering. With an established group of Paediatric Physiotherapists, this company is looking to add an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to their team to provide a more holistic, integrated service.
Your new role
Your new role will operate as the sole Paediatric Occupational Therapist in the business and report to the company Director. Your job will entail helping children with developmental delays or diagnosed disabilities to help them carry out their daily activities and increase their functional capacity. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
Undertaking appropriate occupational therapy assessments including developmental, sensory, cognitive, self-care, neurological and functional performance issues
Provision of quality interventions within an inter-professional collaborative practice model of care
Provide support and advice to parents and teachers about every angle of care that has to do with occupational therapy needs
Assess for adaptations and use of specialist equipment when necessary
Case management within the multidisciplinary team in relation to complex patients
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in your application for this position you will be a tertiary educated Occupational Therapist with:
Current AHPRA registration and WWCC
Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
Clearance to work in Australia
Open C Class QLD Driver's License
Experience in Paediatric care
A genuine interest in working with children, their families and their carers
