Northern New South Wales Local Health District (NNSWLHD) is seeking a Pharmacist Grate 3, to lead the safe, effective and efficient transition to State Contract (Contract 861) for the supply of pharmaceuticals to state managed oncology services, across the NNSWLHD.
Providing a safe and effective transition from the existing local services to the new 861 Contract. Undertaking project and change management activities across the LHD, including setting/achieving clear timelines; reviewing and updating medicines related documents, electronic Medication Management (eMM) systems and approval processes; inventory management; stakeholder engagement and communication with clinicians and other relevant staff at all levels in each oncology clinic within the LHD.
NSW Health supports flexible work arrangements, the location of this role may be successfully negotiated within the Northern New South Wales Local Health District sites.
If you have:
Registration as a Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHRPA)
Extensive pharmaceutical experience in an outpatient oncology service
Extensive knowledge and understanding of the principles, structures and processes of a Medicines Formulary, Medication Safety and medication related committees, including relevant NSW Health Policy Directives
Analytical skills, with the capacity to undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis of clinical data; demonstrated ability conducting literature reviews and applying research; preparing and presenting analysis and reports; and managing project risks and implications
Experience in leading large scale healthcare quality improvement initiatives fostering a systematic collaborative approach to improving patient outcomes, including the management of multiple and concurrent initiatives with conflicting milestones and deadlines
