Our Aviation team are on the lookout for a State Senior Pilot to join their dynamic group based in Moorabbin. This position is responsible for providing inspired leadership and oversight of the operations of the Skydive Australia Flight Operations Division in Victoria.
Based predominately out of the Skydive Australia Facility located at our Moorabbin base and reporting directly to the Operations Manager Aviation, this pivotal role will have the following responsibilities:
- Maintaining and supporting the operational logistics and providing a high level of leadership to staff, ensuring best workplace practices are always adhered to.
- Planning, organising and conducting aircraft schedules, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation requirements.
- Ensuring quality control is maintained with regard to CASA And WH&S requirements.
- Foster a culture that inspires high levels of safety, performance, and employee satisfaction.
- Leading, coordinating, and supervising of Flight Crew team; measure, review and report the effectiveness and efficiency of flight operations activities and employee’s performance.
- Provide Day to day technical support to flight crew and Operations Manager Aviation on matters affecting the state’s aircraft operations activities and liaise with engineering department regarding aircraft unserviceability’s.
- Rostering and team assignments and ensuring compliance with FRMS; regularly monitoring flight crew duty periods and reporting any FRMS breaches through the appropriate channels.
- Facilitate Flight Crew site inductions and base specific training requirements.
- Ensure division meets assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
- Support HOTAC with flight crew and student training and checking duties (this may include Base checks / re-currency checks / TOC training / issuing of JPA’s etc)
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency of submissions of flight record documentation (DFR / Trend Monitoring / Timesheets etc) and review of Flight Crew timesheets and payroll reports.
- Carry out pilot duties when rostered as duty pilot.
You will know you're ideal if you have the following skills & experience:
- CASA Part 61 Commercial Pilot License.
- Minimum 1,000hrs Aeronautical Experience (Including 500hrs Single Pilot Operations) with at least 250hours C208 experience.
- 150hrs Parachute Operations.
- Current IPC-C-SE or ME (A) (2D & 3D) with a minimum six months until renewal is due.
- Sound knowledge of CASA & APF regulatory publications and understanding of company operational procedures.
- Experience in people management, including staff development, mentoring, appraising and performance review.
- Current driver’s license.
- The right to live and work in Australia.
