THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity on offer to be part of the Mortlake Power Station team as a Senior Plant Technician (Electrical or Instrumentation & Electrical).
This role enables a motivated self-starter to facilitate the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the power station to deliver flexible, reliable and cost-effective power generation to our customers.
You will contribute your experience to a thriving team and develop your leadership abilities as well as have the capacity to work safely with limited supervision on day-to-day operations and assist with on call activities.
The Mortlake team is responsible for:
- Safe operations associated with the safety of self and those working with them.
- Completing tasks as assigned by the Plant Manager and working closely with other Plant Technicians.
- Coaching and mentoring other team members in own areas of expertise.
The Senior Plant Technician is part of a small multi-skilled team operating in a dynamic environment. The role works closely with the Plant Manager, MPS team, centralised maintenance planning, projects, engineering, and compliance teams.
You will also demonstrate:
- Electrical trade qualifications – Essential.
- High Voltage switching - Highly regarded.
- Cert III or IV Instrumentation -Highly regarded.
- An understanding of the PTW System and experience accepting all forms of PTW relevant to your skill-set.
- Experience working with MS Office Suite of products.
- A proven track record of HS&E procedures management and compliance.
- A Drivers Licence.
