Senior Program Officer (Early Years) - Full time/Ongoing

This new and exciting role in the Early Years Unit (EYU) of Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority is to further support ongoing early childhood reform in Victoria.

The EYU is looking for a dynamic, committed professional with demonstrated experience in early childhood or primary education, able to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders both internal and external to the VCAA.

You will need excellent communication skills, be able to engage with diverse stakeholders and have the confidence to deliver presentations.

You will be part of a high performing team and positively impact outcomes for Victoria's youngest children.

The Senior Program Officer role is a new and exciting opportunity in the Early Years Unit at VCAA.

The Senior Program Officer role has responsibilities directed at further supporting and consolidating the implementation of the VEYLDF amongst all professionals working with children from birth to eight years of age. The role has a strong focus on managing multiple projects that deliver resources that translate contemporary early childhood theory and Victorian Government policy into practice and that demonstrate high quality pedagogical decision making. This will involve engaging with early childhood stakeholders to understand their needs and to support targeted resource development.

Subsequent to the development of resources, the Senior Program Officer has a significant role to play in developing and delivering professional learning to promote uptake of the resources by early childhood professionals.
