Form of work Project Buyer for exciting project - EPCM - Perth based with WFH
Senior Buyer required for this Global EPCM client.
They have recently been awarded an engineering and construction management services contract for a major Process Plant Expansion Project.
The scope of work includes primary crushing station, overland conveyor, milling with pebble crushing, coarse ore stockpile and reclaim, flotation circuits and concentrate and tailings pipelines. The Senior Buyer will manage allocated procurement packages from cradle to grave, including contracts administration, co-ordination of all support services for the packages; expediting, inspection, transport and logistics.
Duties:
Cradle to grave procurement package management.
Compile bid list,
Development of RFP package,
Expedite engineering deliverables,
Issue tenders, manage addendums and clarifications, close bids / bid openings,
Commercial evaluation, draft award documentation and conform contracts,
Co-ordinate kick-off and progress meetings,
Manage insurance and securities requirements, and process payments and variation claims
Resolve any arising problems or complaints. Escalate as appropriate.
Responsible for management of own allocated packages and team support with reporting requirements.
Meet budget, productivity, accuracy and schedule KPI’s.
Skills and experience:
Previous experience as a senior buyer on large heavy industrial projects.
Demonstrable record of successful procurement package management.
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple project requirements.
Detail orientated and schedule focused – ability to hand large numbers of packages concurrently.
Good communication skills – both written and oral.
Advanced IT skills – MS products.
This role will be based in Perth CBD with some WFH.
