The North East Link Program will deliver the missing link in Melbourne's road network that will finally complete the Metropolitan Ring Road by connecting the M80 to the Eastern Freeway to improve outer north-south links for road freight movement and improve travel time and reliability. Drive successful project outcomes as a Senior Project Manager in the Delivery Freeways team.

About North East Link
North East Link is the biggest ever investment in Melbourne's north-east – changing the way people move around Melbourne.
Victoria's longest road tunnels will fix the missing link in our city's freeway network, take 15,000 trucks off local roads a day and slash travel times by up to 35 minutes. We'll also complete the Ring Road in Greensborough, overhaul the Eastern Freeway, build Melbourne's first dedicated busway and the North East Trail – more than 34km of walking and cycling paths.
About the Opportunity
Be part of a transformative infrastructure project for Victoria, with an exciting role in the North East Link Program's Delivery Freeways East Package of works.
As our Senior Project Manager, you will come on board to support the planning, procurement and delivery through an Alliance of the largest road project Victoria has seen!
As momentum for the project grows, the Senior Project Manager is pivotal in developing and overseeing project development, procurement, and delivery activities, assisting with strategic direction, and cultivating effective and collaborative stakeholder relationships. This role will provide high quality advice and lead the engineering and operational aspects relating to project design, development, procurement, delivery and commissioning within the designated specific scope, time, and budget. The role may also be embedded into an Alliance team to deliver the works in collaboration with industry partners.
Reporting to the Delivery Manager, you will play a vital role in directing and facilitating interactive tender workshops and contract discussions to decisively influence stakeholder groups, mitigate risks, and encourage information exchange to develop effective solutions that directly contribute to strategic business plans and objectives.
Travel and time spent at a future site office (Bulleen, Heidelberg or Watsonia) will be requirement of this position.
About You
In addition to your passion to improve the outcomes of a major infrastructure project, you will also be recognised by your:
- Extensive experience in project management of major infrastructure projects, across a range of delivery models with a strong track record in achieving the delivery within the scheduled timeframes and budget
- Detailed understanding and management of competing priorities, pressures, and opinions of all stakeholder groups within an Alliance setting
- Exceptional communication skills that promote collaboration, business acumen that proactively identifies and responds to a wide range commercial complexity ideally during procurement stages of major Alliance contracts
- Proven leadership, influence, and negotiation aptitude during complex project stages, ideally
- Relevant qualification of an Engineering or Science related discipline is required, with proven track record of application within large, infrastructure projects including Alliances is favourable
