About the Business – Security, Emergency and Recovery Management
Security, Emergency and Recovery Management provides high level policy advice on issues of interest to the Premier and to Cabinet, and leads whole of Government issues related to national and protective security, emergency management and recovery. The team works with the Commonwealth and other Jurisdictions on key national policies and strategies, and drives the public sector's policy response to significant state emergencies and leads state level recovery.

This role will work with key stakeholders to deliver complex projects with contribute to the State's security, emergency and recovery management objectives. The officer will have the opportunity to work on significant recovery programs for the SA Community or support members of national committees. This is a unique opportunity to work on a variety of projects, and develop policy and strategy skills in a whole of government setting.
Special Conditions
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
- Some interstate travel involving overnight absences will be required.
- This role requires a National Police Clearance.
- The incumbent will be required to participate in the State Crisis Centre and recovery operations, including being on-call and working on a roster, and required to gain a National Security Clearance up to Negative vetting Level 1.
