Primary Purpose:
Lead the project planning, development and evaluation of community engagement programs and campaigns to increase community awareness and disaster resilience for extreme weather events across South Australian communities.
Develop flood and extreme weather tailored community engagement programs, resources, and tools to support the implementation of SASES Community Engagement Directives.
Engage, consult and collaborate together with SASES volunteers, internal and external stakeholders in the development, delivery and review of flood and extreme weather programs and campaigns.
Formulate contextualised communications strategies that align with the overarching Community Engagement Strategic priorities.
Develop and deliver a training package and toolkit to upskill and support SASES Community Engagement volunteers in their delivery of tailored community engagement programs.
Contribute to the positive image of the SASES by representing the organisation at meetings, seminars, and participate on working groups to deliver community awareness and specific training to enable high risk flood communities in South Australia to become more resilient to flooding and position them to respond to and recover more quickly from a flooding event.
Contribute to a volunteer recruitment and marketing plan to increase Community Engagement volunteer capacity across South Australia.
Foster continuous improvement in community engagement programs and campaigns within SASES.

$95,588 - $101,109
