Senior Property Officer
Pay Rate: $50 p/h + Super
Contract End: 27/10/2023
Location: 160 Marsden St Parramatta
Our client a state government department is seeking an experienced Senior Property Officer to work within the their Property Service Centre.
The role is part of a team and is required to independently administer the construction, modification, major renovations and/or repairs and maintenance of customer properties (including the management of external consultants).
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects ensuring risk are mitigated on behalf of our customers.
- You will be required to communicate and work closely with colleagues, customers, family, friends, and external service providers and provide your expert advice on building and construction matters as necessary.
- Manage workload with competing demands to ensure favourable outcomes for all our customers.
- Computer skills are necessary (e.g. Microsoft office and internal data bases).
- Maintain sensitivity, discretion and a professional manner in handling difficult enquiries and issues.
- Experience in construction and understanding/interpreting to provide advice on residential building plans and specifications.
- Manage external service providers to meet the needs of our customers, having regard to their disabilities.
- Ability to multitask and manage various projects (Office based)
- Tertiary qualifications or recent experience in construction / project management and capacity to interpret and provide advice on building plans and specifications.
- Strong understanding of Australian building standards and the National Construction Code
- NSW builders’ licence is preferred.
