Positioned in our Fruit & Veg team this role is responsible for leading all quality assurance activities at our Wyong Distribution Centre ( located on Central Coast NSW ) which services 80 stores.
- Wyong based role, Tuesday - Saturday roster 2am -10.30am shifts (may vary)
- Work closely with various internal stakeholders including the Distribution Centre, Buying and Store teams.

What you’ll do
This role requires you to be working within a refrigerated environment for the majority of your shift.
- Validate the compliance with product quality and labelling specifications set by the Woolworths quality assurance team and Government Legislation
- Develop and maintain efficient rosters and succession plans in Quality Control to increase team productivity and bring to life flexibility
- Collaborate with the Commercial Buying Team to ensure we are delivering the best quality offer for store operations to enhance customer experience
- Assist the Fruit and Veg leadership team with key metrics and Ways of Working, provide valuable and constructive feedback for the purposes of recognition and development opportunities
- Report to the Fruit & Vegetables Operations Manager and working alongside the buying teams to deliver safe, quality products in line with Woolworth's specifications and company KPI's
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience leading a developing a high performing and diverse team
- Previous experience managing the performance, development, and engagement of direct reports
- Firm understanding of supermarket retailing, commercial and supply chain processes
- Demonstrated the ability to make changes that result in quantifiable business benefits
- Previous experience in Fruit & Veg or Fresh industries would be an advantage to ensure you are set up for success in this role
