Who are we looking for?

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Senior Research Fellow / Associate Professor / Professor of Cancer Nursing to join School of Nursing, Faculty of Health, Academic Division.

This position is expected to make significant contributions to the research outcomes of the School of Nursing, Faculty of Health through leadership in research, industry collaboration, strategic relationships with research end users, and through leading a multidisciplinary team. This position will collaborate with key academic and health service staff and students including those within other Faculties within the University and other Divisions within the Health Service. The position will also engage with external clients, service representatives, researchers and government representatives. This position is also expected to establish their own research and expand upon their current level of research.

About the Faculty

About the Centre for Healthcare Transformation (CHT)
The Centre for Healthcare Transformation (CHT) was created in 2020 to bring together leading clinicians, health economists, statisticians and implementation scientists from various fields, including nursing and other health sciences. The CHT vision is to transform healthcare for better lives.
The Centre provides an opportunity to strengthen collaborations for improving health outcomes research, thereby strengthening the efficiency and effectiveness of health services for the benefit of patients, their carers, the community.

What you need to succeed

This role is ideal for an academic with a significant research profile and a continuing track record of managing a significant research program of national/international repute.

You will demonstrate:
1.Completion of a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline area, and current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority, and additional certification required for ongoing clinical practice or clinical supervision (blue card, CPR, first aid, and full vaccination including an approved COVID19 vaccine).

2.Record of significant research leadership and the ability to develop creative and novel solutions through translation of research outcomes into teaching, health policy, and practice.

3.Outstanding record of cancer nursing research/scholarship, as demonstrated by sustained publication success and research income.

4.Demonstrated success at establishing and maintaining collaborations that extend best practice, implement leading solutions, and realise new opportunities.

5.Proven record of excellence in scholarly and innovative approaches to teaching and learning.

6.Demonstrated success in leading clinical and academic teams, including the ability to successfully mentor clinical and academic staff.
