The Research Grants team aims to identify, develop and support new grant funding opportunities to build on the scale, quality and reach of UTS's research activities, and deliver impact through the translation of outcomes into practical use.
About the Role
The Senior Research Grants Manager plays a critical role in the Research Grants team developing and supporting research projects and collaborations in support of the UTS strategic vision to increase research of international significance, through its proactive focus on global connections.
The Senior Research Grants Manager contributes to the enablement of UTS researchers to identify, compete for and successfully execute high quality grant funded research.
This is a senior role in the team and plays a crucial role in planning and managing an increasingly complex and high-volume workload relating to supporting the UTS research grant portfolio.

As the Senior Research Grants Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and lead initiatives to maximise successful research grant funding proposals.
- Manage the development and submission of proposals for competitive grant funding, including the provision of high-level proposal review and quality assurance in a timely manner
- Lead and manage the Research Grants support team which is part of the larger Research Grants team.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to achieve improvements in grant application and post-award processes, to ensure effective management of the UTS Research Grants portfolio.
- Provide high level guidance for the delivery of ongoing support to researchers with funded grants to ensure compliance with reporting and audit requirements and prompt resolution of problems

- Extensive working knowledge of the current Australian Higher Education sector.

Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $134,476 to $140,880 pa (HEW 9)
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and the appointment will be made on a fixed term basis until March 2025 (parental leave cover).
