As a Senior Security Testing Consultant (Senior Penetration Tester), you will be working in our global information security team supporting the Global Security Testing manager in the development and delivery of the global security testing strategy for Computershare, ensuring a risk focused approach is embedded across the related people, process, and technology.
You will be accountable for the delivery of their allocated sections of the security testing programme, working with outsourced partners and suppliers as well as delivering in house testing covering areas spanning WebApp testing, purple teams, and OSINT exercises.
Specifically working with the security testing team and wider Information Security, Technology and Business teams, you will establish appropriate threat scenarios, simulate cyberattacks and identify and report security flaws on computer systems, networks and infrastructure.
Responsibilities Include:
Hands on penetration testing carried out over a wide range of technical security scenarios is core to this role
Support the Global Security Testing manager in the delivery of the annual security testing programme
Work with key stakeholders such as project teams, risk, and application owners to ensure penetration tests are carried out line with requirements
Maintain a good working relationship with our key security testing suppliers
Be accountable for the allocated part of the testing plan and use internal and external pen test resource to deliver to cost and time requirements
Be accountable for the security testing process, create penetration test scopes, create, and deliver fieldwork and ensure reporting is of a high quality
Review supplier penetration test results for consistency and ensure risks identified are aligned to the wider enterprise risk framework
Collect, analyse, and prepare reports required
What will you bring to the role?
We are seeking a self-starter with exceptional multi-tasking skills and can easily prioritise tasks. It is mandatory that you have previous significant experience in specifying and delivery of penetration tests, experience of managing a security testing function focusing on end-to-end security testing as well as a deep understanding of testing methodologies and attack vectors in use across multiple technology stacks
Key skills required:
At least three years’ experience in the execution of penetration tests over a wide range of areas
The ability to work towards internal client-led deadlines.
Coordinate and manage the work of more junior team members providing coaching and mentoring where needed
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organised approach with an attention to detail
Experience working with technical specialists from outsourced partners and suppliers
One or more relevant security qualifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+/ Pentest+, CPSA or equivalent
Desired Skills
Hold or willing to work towards one of CISSP, CREST CRSA, OCSP, GPEN or equivalent
